Earthbound Energy & Mellow Mood: Ground Coffee Blends

Our Earthbound Energy and Mellow Mood blends come pre-ground (medium-fine) to ensure the perfect infusion of functional ingredients. Here are our recommended brewing methods:

  • Pour-Over: This method offers a clean, flavorful cup that highlights the unique notes of our blends. Use a medium-fine grind for optimal extraction. This is our preferred brewing method as it delivers a consistent, delicious and perfect cup every time.

  • Drip Brewer: This convenient method is perfect for everyday brewing. Use the pre-ground coffee and follow your brewer's instructions.

  • Iced Coffee: To make iced coffee, simply brew your coffee stronger than usual and pour it over ice. Add milk, cream, or sweetener to taste.

Pour Some Honey On Me & Wake Up & Samba: Whole Bean Coffees

Our Pour Some Honey On Me and Wake Up & Samba blends come as whole beans, allowing you to grind them to your preferred consistency for optimal freshness and flavor. Here are some suggested brewing methods:

  • Cold Brew: Ideal for summer, cold brew is smooth, low-acid, and refreshing. Grind your beans coarsely and steep in cold water for 12-24 hours. (Tip: Our "Pour Some Honey On Me" is exceptional as a cold brew!)

  • French Press: A classic method that produces a full-bodied cup with rich flavor. Grind your beans coarsely and steep for 4 minutes.

  • Pour-Over: This method highlights the unique flavor notes of your beans. Use a medium-fine grind for best results.

  • Drip Brewer: A convenient option for everyday brewing. Use a medium grind and follow your brewer's instructions.

  • Espresso: For a concentrated, intense shot, grind your beans finely and use an espresso machine.

How to Brew Like a Pro (easy instructions)

Pour-over:

  • Grind coffee to a medium-fine consistency.
  • Place a filter in your pour-over cone and rinse with hot water.
  • Add coffee to the filter (use about 2 tablespoons per 6 oz of water-adjust based on preferences).
  • Using a gooseneck kettle, slowly pour hot water over the coffee, starting in the center and spiraling outward.
  • Enjoy your delicious and energizing cup!

 

French Press:

  • Add coarsely ground coffee to the French press (use about 2 tablespoons per 6 oz of water).
  • Pour hot water over the coffee, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
  • Stir gently, place the lid on, set a timer, and let steep for 4 minutes.
  • Slowly press the plunger down and pour. Enjoy your smooth and calming brew!

 

Cold Brew:

  • Coarsely grind your beans.
  • Combine coffee grounds and cold, filtered water in a ratio of 1:4 (1 part coffee to 4 parts water).
  • Steep for 12-24 hours in the refrigerator.
  • Strain the coffee through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
  • Enjoy your smooth, naturally sweet cold brew over ice !
